Hello my name is Mauricio Mejia, and my project is “American Dream”
THE INTERVIEW
¿Would you live this dream to tell others?
I interviewed to Natalia, who lived this adventure for seven years.

I asked Natalia
1)  How did you know about the opportunities that U.S was offering?
And she told me that never really knew or looked for those opportunities, one day she just got to now an American, who became her pair, he began to sell her the idea of looking for a better future in a different country that idea started to snake her mind

2)  Why did you decide to go there?
And she told me that decided to go first of all for personal reasons and second because the idea of studying in a different country, where opportunities were given that easy her sounded as a very good Way to achieve what she had in mind, professionally and personally.

3)  How did your family support you?
She responded that they truly respected his decision and they gave her all the support she needed

4)  Where were you going to stay in U.S?
She was going to arrive to her pair house in Tampa Florida

5)  How long had you planned to stay there?
She told me that planned to stay only for five years, but she ended up living there for 8 years.

6)  What was your job there?
She responded that worked there as a waitress and also assistant manager in a office

7)  It is true about the discrimination the Americans towards foreigners?
She said that it depends on the town, some cities like new York are open minded and accept the huge cultural diversity cultural diversity, although other cities like Cala are very traditional so the population could avoid contact with some foreign cultures.

8)  How was this experience for you?
She said that it was a great experience because she got to know a lot: different cultures, life styles and language, etc. although it was difficult to get used to new things in life being for away from home.

9) During your permanence in the U.S, did you ever go through a funny experience for being Latin?

She told men that one day someone asked her if we Colombians wore clothes as Indigenous do, and if we lived in a jungle as “Tarzan” did she thought it was funny.

10) Was materialized your "American dream", how?
All she got from there was the great personal experience, and the opportunity to study and became a better human being who appreciate, sees and lives the life in a different way

Conclusions:
The stories are not always bad; leave us some good teaching of life as to Laura.
